Austin Area Homeschoolers

AAH Home / Is it Legal? / Dealing with the District / Support Groups / AAH eMail Lists / Newcomers' Guide

  • Austin Area Homeschoolers is a network of families who homeschool or are exploring the possibility.
  • We are an inclusive group composed of members who are willing to share their homeschooling experiences.
  • Each member speaks only to their individual experience.
  • We respect each family's educational choices.
  • We do not charge dues, and there are no special membership requirements.
  • We invite everyone to participate in our activities.
  • In addition, we do not specifically endorse or promote the views of individuals, groups, or organizations whose names may be shared as resources; such references are for your information and investigation only.
We have a free email list for homeschooling parents.  Currently there are over 1700 subscribers.  The list is broken up in to announcements of interest to homeschoolers, general discussion, and homeschooling topics only discussion.

The email list has the most current info about our group.  It is updated by our subscribers.  To sign up on AAH's e-mail lists, carefully follow ALL the direction listed on the AAH eMail lists Page.  This list is used to comunicate with area homeschoolers about parkdays, classes, activities, field trips, etc.  This is a support list for homeschooling families.

AAH publishes a free monthly eMail Newsletter (available to subscribers of the AAH-Announce list).

If you have questions, and didn't find the answers here, you can join the email list (link above) and ask the whole group.

AAH has prepared a Newcomer Information Packet.  This packet is in the process of being updated.  Much of the info is still very valuable.  We highly recommend reading this.
