Membership in the American Association of University Women, founded in 1881, is open to all graduates who hold a baccalaureate or higher degree from a college or university. As of 2005, associate degree holders are eligible for membership. Associate degree holders are individuals who graduated and received an AA degree, as well as RN's who have received a diploma, from a regionally accredited college or university. In 1991 a new category of Student Affiliate was created for those currently working toward a baccalaureate degree.
AAUW Austin Branch dues for 2006-2007 are $73 for regular members. This includes $47 Association dues, $10 State dues, and $16 Branch dues. Our fiscal year is July 1 through June 30. New members joining after January 1 pay half dues ($36.50). Student Affiliate dues are $18.00.
For more information about AAUW Austin Branch membership, please contact our Membership VP, Peggy Drake Holland.
