Substance Abuse Service Corps
An AmeriCorps National Service Program of the Phoenix House Foundation
dedicated to:
Strengthening Local Communities through the expansion of outreach efforts, community linkages between treatment providers and other organizations, and facilitating access to appropriate services.
Getting Things Done through direct Member services to area residents who are a t risk for, or already using/abusing illegal drugs or alcohol. Services include intervention, counseling, prevention training sessions, and mentoring programs.
Developing Members' Citizenship
and Other Skills through service learning, regular training
sessions, a member generated newsletter, and participation in additional
activities related to AmeriCorps ideals.
