Doug has been a CenTex ASPA Board member since 2003. He is currently an auditor with the City of Austin focusing upon policy issues at Austin Energy and the Austin Police Department. He received a Masters in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005.

Mario A. Espinoza, CENTEX Board Member

Mario A. Espinoza has been a ASPA CenTex Chapter Board Members since 2003. He is currently the Community Development Director for the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. He received a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin.

VALERIE LACOUR FRANCOIS (Austin) serves as the Division Manager of Human Resources for the City of Austin Solid Waste Services Department. She is a member of the Advisory Board for Virginia College in Austin assisting with development and approval of curriculum for degree programs in Human Resources, Business, etc. She currently serves as a board member of ASPA Centex. She also is a member of the African American Heart Association Task Force whose mission is to generate funds and awareness of heart disease in the African American community.

    CenTex ASPA is requesting your help to serve or nominate candidates to serve as Mentors for students.

    The nature of the relationship and time commitment are worked out between the student and Mentor. The Mentor will plan to be available via the telephone or email to answer student´s questions and offer professional guidance. Work-shadowing and personal meetings provide excellent experience for students.

    Paul Sanchez is past President for the ASPA Centex Chapter. He is currently the Environmental Senior Reviewer for the City of Austin. He received a Masters In Public Administration from Texas State University–San Marcos. He has more than 12 years experience in the public sector in the field of enforcement and development land us, and four years experience as a supervisor in local government.
