This is a National Event. No club weigh-ins allowed for Open. One Honor Roll point for Texas (open) wrestler placing 1st.

$25.00 fee per OPEN entry. $20.00 fee per Rookie entry. (ALL WRESTLERS MUST HAVE USA CARD)

Be certain to enter at TX-USA weights and divisions.  No double weight classes or divisions entries allowed. You must make weight (wearing a singlet) in the weight class listed on your pre-registration. Moving up will not be allowed. Birth certificates (copy) must be available if requested by the event director. Rookies may enter in both Open and Rookie tournaments.

ENTRY VERIFCATION: Entries will be posted on our web site for verification – www.main.org/baileybears - and Team Representatives will be contacted by Wed. evening the 26^th confirming entries. Please verify your entry as changes will not be made at the tournament.

ALL OPEN tournament wrestlers: Friday, Jan. 28, 5:00-9:00pm - Burger Center Gym

ROOKIE wrestlers (those wrestling ONLY Rookie): Club weigh-in Thursday night. Must make scratch weight for weight class entered. Any weight class changes from pre-registration must be received by noon Friday, January 28. Random weight checks Saturday at 2:00pm.

Directions: Take IH 35 south of Austin to Hwy 71 westbound (also called Ben White Blvd. It turns into 290 West.)

Take Ben White/71/290 to Brodie Lane exit and U-turn under bridge. Gym is located at east end of football stadium. Watch for the turn into Burger Center! It is not marked and is easy to miss.

Clarification on Rookie Tournament:
The Rookie Tournament is for Rookie wrestlers ONLY.  This means first year folkstyle wrestlers only. If a wrestler has wrestled in any folkstyle tournaments prior to 4/01/04, then he or she is not a rookie. 

Novice wrestlers (2nd year wrestlers or wrestlers with previous folkstyle experience prior to this folkstyle wrestling season) must enter in the Open Division for this tournament.  Any wrestler who enters the Rookie tournament incorrectly will be disqualified from the tournament with no refund given.

Rationale:  Most of the National tournaments only have an Open division.  We want to give the true Rookies a chance to wrestle only other rookies from across the state so that they can have at least one tournament with other rookies before the "State Rookie" tournament. Rookie Div. 5 will be offered for this reason.
