The board of the Balcones Greenes Homeowners Association met and considered several bids for repair of the lettering and capstones of the entrance monuments at Anderson Mill Road and Swan Drive. We approved a change in the lettering from plastic to metal for enhanced durability. The repair of the capstones was postponed to cooler weather, with the expectation of having a Saturday morning work party, to keep down the cost.
For the rezoning of the adjacent property at the corner of Anderson Mill Road and Swan Drive, the City Council approved the rezoning, subject to our negotiated restrictive covenants, at the July 28 meeting. The next step is to review the owners site plan for the southern part of the property. We have not yet been notified of such a plan.
We have a new website www.main.org/bghoa for the neighborhood for our newsletters and meeting announcements. Take a look and let us know of ideas for improvements.
Our next quarterly board meeting will be in late September. We will put the finishing touches on the 2006 budget. Watch for announcements near the mail boxes.
