Transitional Housing Program

What We Do

Blackland CDC’s transitional housing program provides homeless and near-homeless families with twelve months of case management support, life skills classes and low-cost housing, allowing them time to focus on improving their life situation. All houses are located in the Blackland neighborhood. See our Stories page.

Eligibility
In order to qualify for the program families must:

  • be homeless or near-homeless
  • be under 50% median family income
  • have children under 18

Adults must be employed, and total household must be at least $700 per month.

Additional eligibility requirements apply.

Admission into Program
Interested families should call Pamela Johnson, Case Manager, at (512) 972-5795. Families may be referred by other agencies. Applying does not guarantee one’s admission into the program; therefore we recommend pursuing other housing options.

What We Do

Our affordable housing programs serve qualifying families with children, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities. All houses are located in the Blackland neighborhood.

Affordable Housing for Families

This program serves families with minor children at or below 60% of median family income that do not require case management services.

Robert Shaw Village

Robert Shaw Village is a community of six cottages for senior citizens at or below 60% of median family income.

Housing for Individuals with Disabilities
