• Children’s Activities Blackland offers classes in money management and parenting to the tenants in its transitional housing program and community members. We are looking for people who love kids to help provide fun learning and art activities for children while their parents are in the classes in the next room. The kids range in age from 6 months to 16 years. Classes are typically held on weekday evenings. Small groups of volunteers are more than welcome! • Rehabilitate Houses—No Experience Necessary! Join us in rehabbing five houses to be rented as affordable housing. We need 5-10 volunteers each Saturday starting around 9. Small groups are more than welcome. If you can swing a hammer, clean-up or “gopher” materials, we can use you.
