Approved: May 22, 2007
The Brentwood Neighborhood Planning Contact Team (BNPCT) held public meetings recently regarding the Vertical Mixed Use (VMU) overlay for the Brentwood area and will make a recommendation to the Austin City Council on June 4, 2007. Filing by June 4 allows the BNPCT to amend portions of the application, if necessary, until July 19. A PDF copy of the Application is now available. If BNPCT made no recommendations, the VMU overlay would go into effect without restrictions.
For the purposes of the VMU recommendations the Brentwood Neighborhood area extends north from 45th St. to Justin Lane and lies between Burnet Road and North Lamar Blvd. Thus, the BNPCT recommendations cover only properties on the west side of North Lamar and the east side of Burnet Road. Within this area, the VMU overlay applies only to properties fronting on either Burnet Road or North Lamar. The BNPCT divided this into five sections, described on a section map.
