Members of the Capital Area Honey Bee Stewards are available for educational lectures or demonstrations for schools, or other interested groups.

We started a hive at the Sustainable Food Center that you can read about. .

We helped April 6th at the Wildflower Center to answer visitors questions about bees and beekeeping.

CAHBS members have cared for permanent observation hives in the past. We are trying to get members interested in supporting display hives so contact us if you have an ideal location.

Our traveling observation hive regularly appears at community activities such as the Herb Festival, Yesterfest, and the Zilker Garden Festival ( formerly Flora Rama).

Each year we sponsor the Spring Sting Bee Fling, a beginning workshop for anyone interested in beekeeping.
