II. Introduction

The present Plan constitutes programs that are Seeds of Hope and life which CESSMAQ contributes in the construction of the Kingdom of God in a society that manifests devaluation, dehumanization, globalization, marginalization, poverty and extreme poverty, moral, social and ecological deterioration, which are the effects of more than 36 years of internal war which have restrained and hindered the realization of peace agreements. This situation is consistent with the neo-liberal politics that accentuate further the gap between developed and underdeveloped countries.

In its own content, this is a practical proposal of faith, love, justice, and hope that fosters Life: man's communion with his God, living together fraternally, and brotherly solidarity between man and his brother: Mark 12:30-31. 'And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these.

This Plan is also a Seed in sustaining human development, peace and Mayan identity.

CESSMAQ works towards germinating the seeds in men, women, youth, and children, who have not benefited from the work developed in the communities for several years. The work that has been realized in the brothers who are currently benefiting from CESSMAQ, will be strengthened so that the seed that has germinated can continue to grow and become the basis of a better future as children of God.
