XV. Organization Structure

1. Agency of Direction

  1. The Maya Quiche Presbytery Assembly constitutes the agency at the highest level and is where they name and delegate the Administrative Committee, which executes the Christian Service Plans.

    CESSMAQ responds to this committee sending to each Planning Session a complete information package about the work completed and the results. It includes complete financial information.

  2. Administrative Committee
    The superior agency of the Maya Quiche Presbytery Assembly delegates the administrative functions and gives overall direction to CESSMAQ. They approve work plans and resolutions of the CESSMAQ Board of Directors.

    The committee is elected for three years and consists of five members:
    - President
    - Secretary
    - Treasurer
    - two committee members.

  3. Executive Director
    This is the person in charge of the execution and direction of the overall work of CESSMAQ, through effective management, technical assistance, administration, both social and religious.

    The ED also represents CESSMAQ before different related organizations and in cooperation with other agencies.

  4. Local Committees
    These are agencies at the local level in each community that coordinate the local work. They also serve as the Social Auditor function in the relation to the work CESSMAQ performs.

    They are the liaison between CESSMAQ and the community and make decisions together.

  5. Coordinators
    They coordinate the overall general work in each community.

  6. Promoters or Teachers
    They are the managers and in charge of the implementation of the overall work of each program in each community.
