Thank You Mission Presbytery!

For over a decade, Mission Presbytery and the Guatemala Partnership Team have shared the love of God with our brothers and sisters at CESSMAQ, a social outreach arm of the Maya Quichè Presbytery in Guatemala. The result is a living, breathing, thriving partnership which moves beyond the four walls of the church to better the lives of individuals at home and abroad. Here is a translation of a recent communication from our friends at CESSMAQ.

August 8, 2007

Esteemed brothers:

Good day! We greet you with happiness and wish you God’s blessings. In every success of the work of CESSMAQ, there are the blessings of God, and your love in your prayers, your friendship, and your financing. I share the following with you and the Partnership Committee:

Elim Presbyterian Church’s Children’s Education Building is in its final stage of construction, and will be inaugurated on August 22nd 2007 with a worship service in thanksgiving to God.

The occupational training center that serves the village of La Ceiba recently completed its sewing academy with a thanksgiving service on Saturday, August 11th, 2007. Eighteen young women now have a new trade that will allow them to earn money to better their living conditions.

A Natural Medicine and Small Family Gardening course has recently been completed in the village of La Cumbre. The course benefited 30 women. The group of women remember you and are grateful to all of you for your help.

Please join us in our happiness and hope. God bless you.

Kindly,

Noe Anibal Sam Yac
