Nationally, CROP Hunger Walks shared $3.6 million with food banks, pantries, community gardens, and other local hunger-fighting agencies in the U.S.

Walkers raising $100 or more receive a small flag representing one of the over eighty countries where Church World Service is working.

In Austin ...
25% of CROP Hunger Walk funds help right here at home. The 2008 local beneficiaries are:

Capital Area Food Bank
Meals on Wheels and More,
Sustainable Food Center,
AAIM: English as a Second Language Program,
Mt. Olive Baptist Church Food Pantry,
Foundation for the Homeless,
and Refugee Services of Texas.

Everyone is invited to participate. The Austin CROP Hunger Walk encourages participation form everyone in the community: churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, fraternities and sororities, civic groups, scout troops...
