5K - March 2nd


The 2003 Austin CROP Walk will be held in Fiesta Gardens and extend along Town Lake. Registration begins at 1:45P.M. and the Walk kickoff starts at 2:30P.M.

Your participation in the 2003 Austin CROP Walk - as a walker, walker sponsor, or business sponsor - will help make the `00 Walk Austin's most successful ever! More than one million dollars has been raised through the years to alleviate hunger in Austin and across the globe.

Town Lake is a scenic, enjoyable route for Austin's CORP Walkers. The 5K walk (3.1 miles) includes rest stops, refreshments and snacks.

Some 2,000 walkers made a difference in the lives of their neighbors in 1997. You can join them to make an even greater difference in 2003.

25% of CROP funds return to Austin to assist in hunger-ending and self-development work.

How you can help:
Encourage your church, synagogue, temple, or mosque to recruit a team of walkers.
Be a walker, every step you take along the 5K route helps hungry people. If you don't belong to a participating group, call 451-2062 for your sponsor envelope.
Sponsor a walker! If your are unable to walk your $5, $10, $50, $100 gift will sponsor who can walk. Or simply mail your Walk gift to :

Volunteer to help on Walk day or to serve on the Austin CROP Walk Committe. Helpful, committed volunteers are needed to recruit local houses of worship, community organizations, college and high school groups; Scout troops. People are needed to help on Walk day. You can help register; setup tables and signs. Call 451-2062 if you want to help.
