CTACS Christmas Party - December 17, 2007

Those 2 pictures show the stars that upstaged any computer talk for this evening. Woo Young's appetizers, Mark's main dishes (in which I include the desserts), and the pasta (my 3 helpings should indicate my tendencies) were excellent home made food.

Attending were Charlie, Chris, and Sarah Boas, George and Carol Wyche. After appetizers and gorging on 2 plate fulls of the main course, we all sampled desserts and after dinner drinks. Whew!

Mark then let us all have a shot at playing their Wii on the huge TV screen. Sure was like opening up a bunch of presents on Christmas Day.

From Mark:

I'm glad we could host the Christmas party this year. We really enjoyed having everyone over. I wish more people could have made it.

I kept thinking about pulling you into the kitchen to see the pasta rollers while everyone was playing games, but ultimately forgot about it. But this is 2007 and I can simply attach a couple of pictures that give you an idea of what it looks like. In the attachments.png picture, the one on the right is the general conditioning and thinning roller (has knob to make wider/narrower - settings from 1 to 8). The middle one is the spaghetti cutter and the left one if the fettucine cutter. For all pasta, you roll and fold 10 to 12 times on the widest general roller setting (1), then you roll it through moving one setting thinner each time until you get to the appropriate thickness for the specific pasta (5 or 6 for spaghetti). Then you change to the cutting attachment for your specific pasta.

See you in the new year,

Mark
