This was our 1st Thursday meeting and the Boas' had already explained they would not be here. Charlie & Kathleen are up in the pacific northwest on vacation.
George showed off the promised article about the yet existing ATARI and their attempts to make a come back. He brought along the Amiga Future since neither John nor Keith got a chance to look at it last month.
John brought along an attache case with special contents. A very early laptop! This is a pet computer with a custom power supply and a maximum mount of vintage memory. Mass storage is provided down there in the lower left corner of the case. Detachable keyboard + display usable through a slot along the attache case edge.
He got this after quite a hunt and some good luck. There is a loose wire or two and it known to not work as is. John, again, is hoping for some suggestions and support it getting it to running.
He has a schematic and some hints, but having others to bounce ideas off (and through) makes for more fun and increases the chances of getting something out of it.
So, its a project for a meeting here in the near future.
