CTACS Holiday Celebration on December 19, 2011

People slowly filled the table we claimed as ours at Tino's. As you might expecte there was way too much food.

Not a lot to say. The slate of nominations for office was elected by acclaimation; as in, same officers as 2011.

George thanked Paul N. for the bike headlight suggestion. The GeomanGear setup is very bright compared to the old light. (No bike tonight.) It was cold, rainy, and someone had to bring Carol out here and get her back home.

We talked about origins of Amiga retail stores in Austin. Both Paul and Mark worked in some of them. Paul met his wife Marilyn through events Amiga. Turns out that at the other end of this shopping center was where Charlie and Kathleen managed a retail hardware store.

We talked about Austin land code enforcement. We talked about Kathleen's change in jobs to now be working at the Austin State Hospital just a few blocks from George and Carol's house.

George told the group that he is in line for the first release of the Amiga X1000. Quite a few Amigans have beta versions, so it is not all that *FIRST*, but still... Delivery is projected for late February.

Keith has to work tonight, so quickly we got Charlie to be the group photographer: Mark T., Marilyn R., Paul & Marilyn's son Nick (of which only his hand is visible), George W., Arika ?., Kathleen B., Carol W., Keith S., Paul N., Jenni T., and Woo Young.

We called it an evening only about 20 minutes late. See everybody next year!
