CTACS General meeting for October 16, 2014

Attendance: Upper left, clockwise - Carol W., Kathleen B., Nicholas N. Paul N., Mark T., Charlie B, and out-of-view, George W.

I spent about 10 minutes (that I should have), before Carol & I left for CTACS, finding and reading EOS350-EN.pdf searching for HOW to review the images already taken? I would need to do that at the CTACS meeting with this Canon DS126071. So... I made us late.

The Amiga Future did not arrive. Oh, well. Next month.

I handed the camera to Kathleen and asked her to solve this problem. While I nursed my beer, Carol arrived from ThunderCloud with a gluten free sandwich in bag. Wah lah. After about 3 beer sips, Kathleen had cracked the code. My problem was that the same symbol for that function was associated with the Menu system as pushed at me by the index and the AmiPDF search feature.

Somehow the discussion turned to "kids living at home". That is all over for Charlie & Kathleen. Carol & I have curiously gotten a "redo" this year with the down and out status of our nephew. Long about then Paul and, at the same time, Mark showed up. We had to close ranks with 7 CTACS members showing. See the photo. If you look closely between Charlie and Mark, you see a Conan's Savage... "all the way". The order taker felt obliged to question that, "Jalapenos and anchovies?". I laughed, "Hey. Once a month? Do it!".

Time to "negotiate" with Mark for the camera. I was ready. The never dicker for stuff. But, sigh, neither does Mark, because he took the 1st number that came out of my mouth. That was no fun! Just like on e-Bay: I won!

As I usually do, I asked around if anyone was going out of town. Nope? Paul said, "Well", his middle manager stature runs him all over the place, but no place fun, so it doesn't count.

That did lead to a round-robin about "travels" troubles versus current tech and the time delay while society reachs a new equillibrium. We covered "chips" on credit cards, finger biometrics, recent vacations. All wonderful stuff; but... its 8pm already.
