Jake's Lake Party - June 19, 1999
Lake Travis, Texas, USA - We had a good crowd at Jake’s lake party on June 19th. There were 37 members and 9 guests. Jerry was right about the tour route. It was hilly. And Jake was right about the driveway. It is steep down to his lake house and on to the water. Charles and Joyce deserve special recognition for cooking the meat and running the serving line. All the rest of the groceries were brought in by the attending members. I like these pot luck things. We get everyone’s favorite dish. It isn’t possible to find a bad dish in the lot and we can never seem to eat it all. Jake had even arranged special entertainment. The lake police were writing tickets for boaters who didn’t pay attention to the speed zone by Jake’s house.
