DINNER MEETING, Thursday 9 August, 2012
Crown Plaza Hotel, 6121 North IH 35

      

OUR GUEST SPEAKER ON 9 AUGUST WILL BE MS MARTY MCKELLIPS, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE LOCAL RED CROSS. SHE WILL SPEAK ABOUT THE NATIONAL PROGRAM TO RECORD, AND ARCHIVE, THE STORIES OF VETERANS. THE GOVERNEMENT ASKED THE AMERICAN RED CROSS TO ASSIST IN THIS PROGRAM SINCE THEY HAVE SO MANY OFFICES ACROSS THE NATION. IN ADDITION TO HER PRESENTATION YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER TO RECORD YOUR HISTORY. ONE COPY GOES TO THE NATIONAL LIBRARY AND ONE COPY TO YOUR FAMILY.

DRESS FOR THIS OCCASION WILL BE CASUAL (NO SHORTS OR FLIP FLOPS PLEASE)

ON THURSDAY, 9 AUGUST, LONGHORN FLIGHT 38 WILL CHECK IN AT 1830 HOURS. A CASH BAR WILL BE AVAILABLE. DINNER WILL BE SERVED AT 1915 HOURS.
PLEASE USE THE SEATING CHARTS FOUND AT EACH TABLE AND WRITE YOUR NAME AND ANY GUESTS NAMES IN THE BOX CORRESPONDING TO THE POSITION IN WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE TO SIT.

The dinner entrees are choice of, Chicken Cordon Bleu, or Roasted N.Y. Sirloin in a Red Wine Mushroom Sauce. Each entrée will be accompanied by roasted new potatoes and a medley of fresh vegetables. Desert will be Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream.

Your reservation for our 9 AUGUST dinner meeting should be made by completing the form on the back of this flyer and returning it to our treasurer, Major Sig Dahl, as soon as possible, but not later than Monday 6 AUGUST. If you make a reservation and do not cancel by 1200 hours the Monday before the meeting you must pay for the meal you ordered.

If you have not paid your 2012 Chapter dues of $15 please pay them so that you will keep your membership current. Even if you are a life member of the order, LOCAL FLIGHT DUES ARE DUE ANNUALLY. If you do not plan on attending we will miss you, however, we would appreciate your taking this opportunity to pay your dues if you have not previously done so.

WE WILL BE MEETING 9 AUGUST, 2012 AT THE CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL AT 1830 hrs FOR COCKTAILS AND SOCIAL TIME. DINNER WILL BE SERVED AT 1915 hrs. DRESS FOR THIS MEETING WILL BE CASUAL.

THE CROWNE PLAZA IS LOCATED AT 6121 NORTH IH-35 AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF IH-35 AND HWY 290.
