The Daedalian tradition is that spouses/guests are invited to two of the six General Membership Meetings each year; the Christmas Dance and one other. However, if a member wants his spouse or friend to accompany them to a meeting to hear a particular speaker, they will be welcomed. This will accommodate members who might otherwise not be able to attend meetings, and spouses and friends who desire to hear a certain speakers.

WE WOULD LIKE TO MAKE SURE OUR EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE CURRENT. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR CURRENT EMAIL WITH YOUR RESERVATION AND /OR DUES PAYMENT IN THE SPACE PROVIDED.

Crown Plaza Hotel is located on the East side of North IH 35 between Hwy 290 and Hwy 183 .

OUR GUEST SPEAKER ON 12 AUGUST WILL BE COL JIM LAMAR. JIM HAS A GREAT STORY THAT IS NOT ONLY SPIRITUAL, FULL OF PATRIOTISM, BUT WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH AS WELL AS CRY. JIM WAS SHOT DOWN OVER ROUTE PACK 6 IN MAY 1966 WHILE FLYING AN F-105 (THUD). THE STORY OF HIS CAPTURE, SURVIVAL, AND TIME SPENT AS A POW IS NOT ONE THAT YOU WILL WANT TO MISS.
WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE BRING YOUR WIFE OR ANY GUESTS THAT YOU MAY WISH TO BRING. DRESS FOR THIS OCCASION WILL BE SPORT SHIRT AND SLACKS.

ON THURSDAY, 12 AUGUST 2010, LONGHORN FLIGHT 38 WILL CHECK IN AT 1830 HOURS. A CASH BAR WILL BE AVAILABLE. DINNER WILL BE SERVED AT 1915 HOURS.
PLEASE USE THE SEATING CHARTS FOUND AT EACH TABLE AND WRITE YOUR NAME AND ANY GUESTS NAMES IN THE BOX CORRESPONDING TO THE POSITION IN WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE TO SIT.

The dinner entrees are Homemade Chicken Cordon Bleu or Slow Roasted Prime Rib with Au Jus and Horseradish Sauce. Each entrée will be accompanied by roasted new potatoes and a medley of fresh vegetables. Desert will be Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream.

Your reservation for our 12 AUGUST dinner meeting should be made by completing the form on the back of this flyer and returning it to our treasurer, Major Sig Dahl, as soon as possible, but not later than Friday 6 AUGUST . If you make a reservation and do not cancel by 1200 hours the Monday before the meeting you must pay for the meal you ordered. Above your name and address on this flyer, is a year signifying the last year for which you have paid dues. If that year is not 2010 or later please include your dues in your check for dinner. Even if you are a life member of the order, LOCAL FLIGHT DUES ARE DUE ANNUALLY. If you do not plan on attending we will miss you, however, we would appreciate your taking this opportunity to pay your dues if you have not previously done so.
