CHRISTMAS DINNER DANCE AT THE ONION CREEK COUNTRY CLUB

On SUNDAY 12 December we will hold our annual Christmas Dinner and Dance at the Onion Creek Country Club in South Austin. The Club Chef has developed two outstanding menu choices for your dining pleasure. Start with a winter salad of baby spinach with spiced pecans, sun dried cranberries, fresh goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. For meat eaters roasted prime rib au jus accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes and chef's choice of vegetables. Also offered is pan seared salmon with citrus buerre blanc sauce. The salmon will be accompanied by cranberry wild rice and chef's choice of vegetable. Rolls and butter will be served but save room for the chocolate cake with grand marinier whipped cream. Iced tea, coffee and wine for toasts will be served. You will be asked to specify white or red wine after being seated and prior to the toast.

ON SUNDAY 12 DECEMBER 2010 LONGHORN FLIGHT 38 WILL CHECK IN AT 6 PM. WE WILL BE SEATED FOR DINNER AT 6:45. MUSIC BY THE KEN RAGSDALE ORCHESTRA WILL BEGIN AT 7:00PM.

As a special holiday offering, our traditional $5.00 raffle will allow you to choose either the liquor prize drawing OR a drawing for a $50.00 Gift Certificate at Ruth's Chris Restaurant.

Your reservation for our 12 Dec. dinner and dance meeting should be made by completing the form on the back of this flyer and returning it to our treasurer, Major Sig Dahl, as soon as possible, but not later than WEDNESDAY 8 Dec. If you make a reservation and do not cancel by 1200 hours the THURSDAY, 9 Dec. before the meeting you must pay for the meal you ordered. Above your name and address on this flyer, is a year signifying the last year for which you have paid dues. If that year is not 2010 or later please include your dues in your check for dinner. Even if you are a life member of the Order, LOCAL FLIGHT DUES ARE DUE ANNUALLY. If you do not plan on attending we will miss you, however, we would appreciate your taking this opportunity to pay your dues if you have not previously done so.

WE PRESENTED FOUR COLLEGE ROTC STUDENTS FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT AND WE PRESENTED TWO SCHOLARSHIPS TO UNIVERSITY ROTC , AND GUIDED TWO MEN THROUGH THE CADET FLIGHT INDOCTRAINATION PROGRAM (CFIP)
ALL OF THIS ACTIVITY PLUS BIMOMTHY MEETINGS WITH INTERESTING PROGRAMS AND OUTSTANDING FELLOWSHIP ONLY HAPPENS THROUGH THE TIRELESS EFFORTS OF YOUR ELECTED BOARD AND COMMITTEE MEMBERS. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU.
