Library cards are free to anyone living in Freestone County,
Texas who can provide the following identifications.
1. A Texas drivers
license or Texas ID card with current address, or printed checks,
with current address, from a local bank.
2. Name of a
contact person who has a library card in good standing.
Cards for children, who are over the age of 5 yrs, and are able to write their name, must be signed by a parent or legal guardian who has a library card or can provide the above information.
New card holders are limited to one book at a time for
the first month. Materials are loaned out for a two week period.
Renewals may be made in person at the library or over the phone. You
will be asked for your library card number when renewing items. The
library reserves the right to limit the loan period and renewals on high
demand items.
You must present your library card when checking out materials. You are responsible for all materials checked out on your card.
Overdue fines are 10 cents per book per business day (40 cents per week). Videos carry a late fee of $3.00 per video per day. Lost or damaged books will be charged at the current replacement cost plus $5.00 service charge. Borrowing priviledges will be revoked if there is fine of $5.00 or more on a card. Once fines have been paid, borrowing priviledges will be restored. This is at the discretion of the librarian.
An after hour book drop is located on the front of the building for your convience.
Interlibrary loan is available at a charge of $1.50
which is used to cover the return postage, payable when the book arrives at
the library.
