Welcome to the website for the Galindo Elementary Neighborhood.

The Galindo Elementary neighborhood is a wonderful gem nestled in the heart of South Ausitn.
The boundaries are Oltorf Street on the North, Ben White on the South,
the Union Pacific Railway on the West and South First Street on the East.

The purpose of the Association is to seek to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood in matters such as land use,
traffic control, social functions, environmental protection, public services, and other matters of neighborhood concern.

Membership in the Galindo Elementary Neighborhood Association (GENA) is open to residential property owners and
residents residing within the boundries of the Galindo Neighborhood.

MEETINGS
Our General Meetings are held at
South Austin Recreation Center
1100 Cumberland Rd.

The meetings are on the fourth Monday of odd-numbered months -
In 2013, they will be on
March 25
May 20(the fourth Monday is Memorial Day)
July 22
September 23
November 25

Neighbors gather at 6:45, the meetings start at 7:00 p.m.

Neighborhood residents can join GENA by attending one of
our general meetings and paying dues ($10 per household, which can be waived in certain circumstances),
or by sending your dues to GENA's treasurer.
