Traffic Calming - Making our streets safer for everyone
The Galindo Elementary Neighborhood Association (GENA) Welcomes You!

Please Respect Galindo - Drive Safely on Our Streets.

The Galindo Neighborhood Association is committed to keeping our streets walkable - protecting both drivers and pedestrians alike. Please drive the speed limit, and share the road with cyclists and pedestrians!

The speed limit on all neighborhood streets is now 25 mph... so please drive carefully while on residential streets.
We walk and bike these streets every day with our families and pets, and ask that you drive the speed limit and be alert.

Would you like your own yard sign for your home or business? Please email us at RespectGalindo@yahoo.com.

What can you do to help limit the speed and number of cars coming through our neighborhood?

  1. Traffic calming involves changes in street alignment, installation of barriers, and other physical measures to reduce traffic speeds and/or cut-through volumes, in the interest of street safety, livability, and other public purposes. To request Traffic Calming in our neighborhood, please contact Richard Kroger at the Public Works Department - 512 (974-7219) and email your elected officials to request further funding for traffic calming.

  2. Report ALL instances of reckless driving immediately by calling 911.
