Holy Family Homeschoolers is an organization of Catholic homeschooling families in the greater Austin area.  We work together to provide educational field trips and social activities for our homeschooling children.  We share our Catholic traditions, while offering moral support for homeschooling.  Our members come from parishes all over Austin and the surrounding area.  We utilize a variety of curriculum materials and subscribe to many different educational philosophies.

Our organization is a relaxed one; no officers, no dues, no written rules, no regular membership meetings.  At the start of each academic year, we offer a Homeschoolers’ Blessing Mass for members and friends, hosted by various Catholic churches in the Austin area.   HFH relies on every member family to contribute to the group in the best way it can.  Our members voluntarily plan field trips, coordinate social gatherings, and organize service projects.

Our primary means of communication is the e-mail list.  We plan and update activities and field trips, and exchange information about curricula, homeschooling conferences and book fairs, web sites, and more.  We maintain a calendar on-line as well, so our members can access updated information from their home or local public library branch.

We welcome all homeschooling families and those who are considering homeschooling.  We don't require a statement of faith, we don't require members to be Catholic, and we do have several non-Catholic families in our group.  We request all who join to be respectful of our Catholic beliefs and traditions.
