Special guest speaker John A.
Zachman, Zachman International
Please join your local Data Management Association at our second HoTDAMA Day! We have a great all-day event planned on Enterprise Architecture featuring John Zachman, a leading industry expert.
Enterprise Physics 101. This is a presentation on the physics of Enterprise Architecture, the stark reality of the actual engineering work that will have to take place if the Enterprise is to be successful in view of these new realities. This is a kind-of “cold shower” approach to focusing attention on the nature of the trade-offs involved and the dire need to invert the information community’s priorities from building and running systems to engineering a flexible, aligned, integrated Enterprise that can accommodate complexity and high rates of change.
John A. Zachman. John is the originator of the "Framework for Enterprise Architecture' which has received worldwide acceptance as an integrative framework or 'periodic table' of descriptive representations for enterprises. Mr. Zachman is also known for his early contributions to IBM's Information Strategy methodology (Business Systems Planning) as well as their Executive team planning techniques (Intensive Planning). Mr. Zachman serves on the Executive Council for Information Management and Technology of the US General Accounting Office.
