Traffic & Transportation Traffic calming on Perry Lane.  A special task force committee was created in Sept of 08 as a result of numerous concerns from residents regarding excessive speeding and safety on Perry Lane. Task force committee members include: Tonianne Soster, Tom McClure, Kate Wright and Alisa Secrest. Over the past year the task force has worked closely with APD Officials and City Engineers in determining possible options for traffic calming. APD and The City’s Transportation Dept. put out traffic monitoring devices consisting of road rubber tubes and speed trailers to monitor the volume and speed of vehicles.

The task force worked closely with the HPWBANA APD representative and was able to get additional traffic enforcement.

In September 2009, the neighborhood association approved the hiring of Constable Vincent Dodd on a limited, trial basis.  This was paid for with funds raised by residents and matched by the HPWBANA.  Officer Dodd duties are to patrol the area, provide traffic enforcement and a police presence throughout our neighborhood.
