Welcome to the neighborhood! Whether you are new to the area or have lived here for years, we welcome your involvement with our community. Joining Highland Park West Balcones Area Neighborhood Association (HPWBANA) is a great way to stay informed of news and events that affect our neighborhood, and to support activities designed to preserve and improve our neighborhood. NEWSLETTER
As a member, you'll receive an annual subscription to the HPWBANA News, our neighborhood newsletter. The News is published three times a year - the winter and summer issues are delivered to HPWBANA members; the fall issue is delivered to all 1,750 homes in our neighborhood. If funds are available we will deliver the winter and summer issues to all homes also.
EVENTS
The neighborhood association hosts annual social events for all residents in the neighborhood. The July 4th Parade and Party, is held each Independence Day, and the Annual Meeting, is held each fall. We are also hosting a new Easter Egg Hunt at Perry Park which we hope will become an annual event. Your support of HPWBANA by becoming a dues-paying member helps fund these events.
INVOLVEMENT
Membership in HPWBANA means you'll be first to find out about ways to get involved in our neighborhood. Members regularly receive notices about Perry Park clean-up project days, Beautification Committee activities, Neighborhood Watch meetings and other events.
EMAIL LIST
For more timely delivery of the news, HPWBANA hosts an email list through Yahoo! Groups. Neighbors who submit their email address can be added to the list to receive notices of upcoming regular and special events, as well as other news of interest to the neighborhood. Sign up here by clicking HPWBANA Yahoo Group. No advertisements are accepted and all postings are screened by a moderator to avoid excessive messages.
BEAUTIFICATION DONATIONS
We welcome special donations to beautification activities by our Beautification Committee. If you would like to make a donation dedicated to a specific project or area please specify this with your donation and send it to the HPWBANA address listed above.
HPWBANA benefits from the Randalls Good Neighbor Program.
Randall's has a community program for donating to local non-profit groups. It is tied to individual Randalls Remarkable Cards. Link our number (#10586) with your Remarkable Card and a percentage of your purchases will be donated to HPWBANA. This is done by going to the Randalls service desk and asking for the Good Neighbor Program form and filling in the name of the organization (HPWBANA), our number (#10586) and your Remarkable Card number. Up to three non-profits can be listed. The funds will be dedicated for beautification projects in our neighborhood.
