Friends of the Johnston Library
The Friends of the Johnston Library is one of the schools newest clubs. It was founded this year by one senior and one junior student and is sponsored by Librarian Teresa Diaz. The club is comprised of students who are interested in the beautification of the library and also in discussing their love of books. Plans for the year include finding corporate sponsors to adopt shelves in the Johnston library, raising money for the library through fundraising activities, going to garage sales to find couches and other accessories for the library, book drives, and round-table discussions of books. Currently, club members are reading by Melvin Burgess.
