Though the Order of the Arrow Troop Representative program has been around for several years but it has not been tapped
as a resource by our council or lodge. Most troops in the council do not have a troop representative or if they do, they
do not use it to the fullest potential. As the Lodge Troop Representative Chairman, I encourage you to help your troop take
a more active role in the OA by using the Troop Representative Program. The main duty of a Troop Representative is to convey
information from chapter meetings back to all the arrowmen in the troop. To help with this, National has come up with a little
known position where an assigned adult in the troop to help the troop representative with his duties. One thing that we would
like to incorporate would be having all troop reps give reports at the chapter meetings similar to patrol leaders at a PLC.
To help all current and prospective Troop Reps, the lodge will be offering Training at two events throughout the year,
dates to come at a future time. I would like all of you to consider helping out your troop, chapter, and lodge by
taking the position of Troop Representative.
