The Auxiliary Member Advisory Committee (AMAC) is presently searching for two new volunteers to join the committee in November 2008. The AMAC is a 6 person panel that reports to the Chairman of the Board and advises the MOAA President and Board of Directors on all matters relating to MOAA's auxiliary membership and services. Potential candidates should be MOAA auxiliary members. Experience as a current or former auxiliary liaison billet holder at the chapter level is a plus. The term of office for committee members is 3 years. Committee membership requires some travel and active participation. Expenses are covered by MOAA. We are looking for auxiliary members comfortable speaking to groups and able to attend three Board meetings each year. We may also ask for participation in signature events such as the Council Presidents Seminar and the Chapter Presidents Symposium and to visit chapters on request. If you have additional questions concerning these positions feel free to contact either myself or the AMAC Advisors, Col Phil Odom, USAF-Ret, (703) 838-0534 and Col Ana Smythe, USMC-Ret, (703) 838-8104. Please forward the names of potential candidates with a short biography to auxcomm@moaa.org NLT Sept 25, 2008. Telephonic interviews will be conducted with nominees. Final selection rests with the President. Thanks for your support.
