PERSONAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE MEETING
21 FEBRUARY 2011
PRESENT: Charles Bush, Ernie Dean, Bill Del Vecchio, Pat Eagan, Leon Holland, Cecil Martin, Martha Pyle, Maurice Quigley, Roger Rabago

The Meeting was called to order at 1230 hrs. by Chairman Leon Holland

Chaplain Dean opened the meeting with an Invocation

The MINUTES of the 21 September 2009 meeting were approved as submitted

OVERVIEW

Chairman Leon Holland reviewed the Committee's membership and distributed an information sheet detailing the scope and purpose of the Personal Affairs Committee. Each Committee member has a copy of this information and there is a copy of it in the Secretary's file.

NEW BUSINESS

A. Leon Holland and Fred Lord will continue to put an article in the monthly Newsletter pertaining to matters concerning the P.A. Committee. The Survivors checklist will be printed in the newsletter as well.

B. It is to be stressed that Survivors information is available on line and that there is a P.A. Workbook available. Leon Holland will bring Workbooks to the dinner meeting for distribution to those who want them.

ACTION TO BE TAKEN

A. Update the list of Committee members
B. Update the telephone list (numbers used to contact various military installations for help)
C. Emphasize Aid and Assistance Program in the Newsletter
D. Ask Service Reps. to include the newsletter on line with their reservation e-mails to members. Purpose: To insure that all members read the current P.A. Committee information.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS COMMENTS

A. Bill Del Vecchio commented that - since we have Chapter members who are not National members - we need to keep everyone advised of Legislative matters and other actions which affect the military.

B. Martha Pyle reported that she had assisted several survivors in the past year.

Chaplain Dean closed the meeting with a Benediction.

Meeting adjourned at 1310 hrs.
