After graduating from Baylor Law School in 1979, Laura Fowler began her career
as a Navy JAGC chasing saboteurs and scoundrels through exotic ports in the
Orient and Western Pacific. Since returning to Texas in 1983, she has confined
herself to avenging and defending the rights of many wonderful people in the
state and federal courts of Texas. Her greatest calling however, is to help her
clients design ways to NEVER see the inside of a court room. Ms. Fowler is the
very hands on Managing Shareholder of The Fowler Law Firm PC, an eighteen lawyer
civil law firm which is believed to be the largest veteran owned and managed law
firm in Texas and is the largest woman owned law firm in Austin. Eleven of the
eighteen lawyers are men, two are Air Force Academy Grads, two are retired Navy
Captains and Ms. Fowler is a retired Navy Commander.
Ms. Fowler is very proud of the fact that The Fowler Law Firm PC has just been designated a U S News and World Report Best Law Firm in the United States in two categories, School Law and Immigration, is the winner of the Austin Chamber of Commerce Time Warner Award for its gifts to Education, and an Austin Chamber of Commerce Business Awards finalist two consecutive years for Community Relations. The Austin Business Journal has designated The Fowler Law Firm PC a Top Corporate Philanthropist in each of the last three years. Ms Fowler is married to retired Navy Captain JAGC Robert Penn Fowler, who took her to her first MOAA- Austin meeting on their honeymoon twenty years ago. Yes......really. Their daughter Julia is an eighteen year old freshman at Tufts University in Boston where she studies Astrophysics and aspires to travel the Universe. Laura and Robert live in Austin with two terrible rat terriers, a bearded dragon and a toad that Julia left behind. |
