| Born in Lawton, Oklahoma . Joined the high school
rocket club after sputnik was launched and no longer experimented with rocket
fuel in my garage. Flew model airplanes. Graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Aeronautical Engineering. Joined the Air Force in June of '65 and graduated from Air Force flight school and went to mountain survival, jungle survival, and Southeast Asia flying the F-4. Also flew the O-2 and the C-47. Taught flying, obtained a masters in Industrial Engineering, spent four years in Civil Engineering Squadron, went to Spain for 3 years flying the F-4 and the Wing Chief of Safety, 3 years at Fort Walton Beach as a project officer for the ALQ-184, 2 years in Korea as facility manager for 1000 person underground command post. I was also responsible for publishing the Air Tasking Order. My last assignment was at Bergstrom AFB as DOQ in 12th AF and DOO in the 67th TFW Since retiring in '90, I've worked in Austin as a facility manager for Art Carved Class Rings, Southwestern Bell and Motorola (Freescale) and the Round Rock Higher Education Center. I have a '30 Model A Tudor and a 2010 crystal red' corvette convertible. I obtained my Facility Management Administrator from BOMA and Certified Facility Manager from IFMA and LEED certification from the Green Building Council. I maintain web sites for the local chapters of IFMA, MOWW, and MOAA and the Daedalians. |
