19 NOVEMBER 2012 PRESENT: J. R. Howard, Jack Knox, Maurice Quigley, Bev Kelsey, Gerry Walters, Roger Logenbach, Ernie Dean. Chuck Gaede, Martha Pyle. The meeting was called to order at 1330 hrs. by Pres. Gaede. Chaplain Dean opened the meeting with an invocation. MINUTES of the October meeting were distributed to everyone present. TREASURER'S REPORT: The November count was 59, with 1 guest for a total of 60 present. The dinner report was given and accepted as presented. The Treasurer's balance is $7992.64, and the Scholarship Fund has $1955.00 in it. OLD BUSINESS: November Dinner menu was changed, the vegetables were changed, the nuts were not pecans, but walnuts. About the sound system-there were no comments about it. The caterer has not given the December Menu as yet. The $35.00 cost of the meal will help offset the cost of the band engaged. It was decided to wait until after Christmas party, but a suggestion was made for the scholarship, either a bottle of liquor or a $30.00 gift certificate to a next dinner. The first person to draw would have a choice of either the bottle or the gift certificate. NEW BUSINESS: Gerry Walter reminded the group that the Austin group is to Host the State Meeting in February. The dates being: February 14-16, 2013. The meeting will be held while the State Legislature is in session. AMOAA hosted a Happy Hour during the meeting. About 10-15 are usually present. They meet every two years. OFFICER REPORTS 1st Vice PRES. All speakers have been selected for the remaining months. 2nd Vice PRES. No report. 3rd. Vice PRES. J R is looking into the meeting places for 2013 - 2014. USA REP: No report. USAF REP: No report USN/USMC/USCG/USPHS/USNOAA REP: No report NEWSLETTER: Next Board meeting will be December 17 IF NECESSARY. Maurice Quigley made a motion "to cancel the December Board Meeting unless it is necessary to call one." The deadline for the next Newsletter is 28 November. PERSONAL AFFAIRS: Leon had no report. Laura Fowler has volunteered to put an article in the Newsletter for Personal Affairs. CHAPLAIN: No report. COALITION: Gerry Walters is to put a re-cap on the WEB. LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS: Absent WEBMASTER: J R asked for the necessary bios. PAST PRESIDENT: Nothing ANNOUNCEMENTS: CORKY ROBINSON'S BAND WILL PLAY FOR THE CHRISTMAS PARTY.
