The meeting was called to order by the President Chuck Gaede at 1330 hrs.

Chaplain Dean opened with the invocation.

MINUTES: The minutes were distributed for each person to read. They were approved as printed

TREASURER'S REPORT: The Treasurer's report was accepted. On the report it should read "October 26, 2012 (not 2011). Present were 61 including the speaker.

OLD BUSINESS: Review of comments about the October meeting. Food was a bit too spicy. We need to ask Gumbo's to tone it down a bit." There were a very limited number of shrimp for a main dish. Some plates had only 5 very small shrimp. The desert was excellent.

NEW BUSINESS:
     A. There was a consensus that we not raise due this year, since we have had an increase in the cost of meals.
     B. There was no donation last year made to the Military Coalition per Gerry Walters, AMOAA representative. Maurice Quigley made the motion to "Give a $100.00 donation for the Military Coalition", seconded by Leon Holland.

OFFICER REPORTS:

1st Vice Pres: Phil is still looking for speakers for February and May. The November speakers is to be 
LT General Jeff Howell, USMC in celebration of the Marine Birthday.

2nd vice Pres. Membership. A guest is transferring from San Antonio to Austin and was asking about dues. They are: Retiree- $17.00; Spouses/ Widows- $12.

3rd Vice Pres: JR purchased $125.00 for wine, collected $44.00. The collections were not meant to totally pay for the drinks purchased, but to help defray the cost.

Secretary: Nothing to report

USA REP: Nothing to report

USAF REP: Nothing to report

USN/USMC/USCG/USPHS/USNOAA REP: Nothing to report

NEWSLETTER: Bev advised the deadline for the November newsletter was 30 October.

PERSONAL AFFAIRS: Leon had nothing

CHAPLAIN: Ernie reported that Gen. Didlake had spinal surgery that day. 
Devin Pyle is doing better each day.

COALITION: Gerry was to learn the ideals to push for this year. 
He asked that a check be prepared for him to take to the next meeting
