First Vice President

In the event of the president’s absence, the first vice-president shall perform the duties of the president. Further, the first vice-president shall perform other duties as assigned by the president as contained in the policy file.  He/she is responsible for the evening programs.   The first vice-president shall automatically fill a permanent vacancy in the office of the president.  Vacancies in other offices shall be filled as the board of directors may decide.

Responsibilities for Programs:

1. Develop the dinner program to include guest speakers, entertainers, or special events

2. Prepare the annual budget for program activities.

3. Provide publicity on programs to the Newsletter Editor and webmaster.

4. Arrange for any equipment such as audio-visual aids or similar devices as needed.

5. Introduce and thank the speakers and entertainers at the meeting.

6. Insure the availability of any gifts or payments for speakers or entertainers.
