Second Vice President

The second vice president is the third ranking member on the Board of Directors and is responsible for membership. The duties include:

1. In coordination with the Board of Directors works with the Service Representatives to plan for and direct the recruitment of new members and the retention of current members.
2. Use the resources of the national organization to locate and recruit prospective members that may reside in the Austin area.
3. Prepare recruiting literature for prospective members to include a membership application
4. Prepare appropriate welcoming literature for new members.
5. Maintain the Membership Database in an appropriate electronic format.
6. Prepare computer generated labels as required for mailings including the monthly newsletter.
7. Provide the Service Representatives with a current roster of members of the service branch they represent.
8. Prepare the membership directory for publication and mailing by June of each year. The directory shall include a list of the current and immediate past Board of Directors, a Notice of Directory Restricted Use, the AMOAA Constitution and By-Laws and an alphabetical listing of members.
9. Welcome and recognize new members and other guests at monthly meetings.
