Col. Ralph J. Pearson
| Col. Ralph J. Pearson was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1919. He received his law degree from Memphis State University in 1941, and entered the United States Air Force as an aviation cadet. Upon graduation from Navigation School he was commissioned and rated as a navigator. He served as a lead navigator on the first B-29 mission against Japan. After the war ended, he transferred to the Judge Advocate General's Department where he served until he retired from the Air Force in 1971. His last assignment was as Staff Judge Advocate of the Twelfth Air Force at Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin. He liked Austin so much that he remained here. After being admitted to the Bar in Texas, he was employed by the State Bar as Editor-in-Chief of legal publications. After about 5 years he practiced law with Verne Philips. He was later hired as staff attorney for the State Commission on Judicial Conduct where he worked until he retired in 1991. |
