Bond Election 2006

Proposition 3 Important to NACA Citizens

On November 7, General Election Day in Texas, Austin voters will be asked to approve seven bond propositions that together total $567,400,000.

Included in that bond proposal is $8.9 million for a North Austin Community Center to serve the citizens north of 183, in the heart of NACA.

All registered voters are encouraged to come out and vote for Proposition 3, the $84,700,000 for Parks Facilities and Parkland, which includes the community center.

Other propositions are #1, $103,100,000 for Transportation improvements; #2, $145,000,000 for Drainage and Water Quality Protection; #4, $31,500,000 for Community and Cultural Facilities; #5, $55,000,00 for Affordable Housing; #6, $90,000,000 for the Central Library; and #7, $58,100,000 for Public Safety Facilities. Citizens may vote on each proposition separately.

Voter Registration

All citizens are strongly encouraged to register to vote. It's not just a right, it's a responsibility!

The last day to register to vote for the November 7 election is October 10, 2006.

Voter registration cards are available at Little Walnut Creek Library, 835 W. Rundberg, and at the HEB store at Rundberg and North Lamar.
