North Austin Civic Association

About NACA

The North Austin Civic Association represents the area bounded by Highway 183, Kramer Lane, Metric Boulevard, and North Lamar Boulevard. Because the area NACA serves is unusually large both in population and in geographic extent, it is divided into 5 areas, NACA #1-#5.

Approximately 27,500 persons reside within NACA's boundaries. The heart of the NACA neighborhood is the Quail Creek subdivision developed in the early 1970's.

The NACA neighborhood is densely populated with a higher proportion of rental properties than most Austin neighborhoods. NACA is one of Austin's most vibrant and affordable areas, home to a diverse population of retirees, African-Americans, Hispanics, Vietnamese-Americans and recent immigrants from as many as 50 different countries.
