The Quail Creek Tower

The historic tower at Stonebridge and Rutland is greatly in need of repair. Terry LaBorde has obtained an estimate of $8000 to repair the machinery and restore the appearance of the clock tower, which currently has only one working face.

So far, NACA has had pledges of support from A1 Auto Parts, Allied Electronics of Austin, and Steve Bewsey, David Mancha and Laura Faulkner. Members of Fire Station #8 have also spent time and effort to help out. But much more is needed.

Wih a little care and effort, the tower and its plaza can be restored to its place as the centerpiece of our neighborhood. If you would like to pledge to this cause, please contact Gina or Brian Almon at 836-6853.
