North Central Caregivers is a member of Faith in Action Caregivers (visit their website at faithinactioncaregivers.org), a coalition of eight caregiver agencies in Travis and Williamson Counties in Central Texas.

MISSION:

To assist older adults to remain independent and in their own homes by offering a variety of services provided by volunteers at no cost to the recipient.

PURPOSE:

In partnership with 17 north central Austin congregations North Central Caregivers offers older adults transportation services, referral services, friendly visitors, reassurance calls, minor home repairs and provides yard work all at no charge to the recipient. All services are provided by trained volunteers recruited from supporting congregations, and the community-at-large.

These services assist older adults in maintaining and improving their quality of life and prevent premature institutionalization.

In addition, North Austin Caregivers provides individuals with an opportunity to serve others in their own neighborhoods.
