History
The Nonprofit Center was established in 1988 as part of a statewide network funded by the Meadows Foundation. Operating continuously for eight years, the center serves over 250 organizations annually and continues to fulfill the original mission set forth by the Meadows Foundation: to maximize the effectiveness of community agencies thereby improving the lives of all citizens of Texas.

Services are made available by supplementing staff with well-trained volunteers having expertise in areas of management and professional services requested by nonprofit organizations. This allows the Center to provide quality service at a reasonable cost.
