OAKMONT HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

A quorum being present, Association President Arten Avakian called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.

Carl Hehmsoth, seconded by Lois Mayes, moved to dispense with reading and approve the minutes of the November 30, 2010, meeting. The motion was adopted without objection.

The following association members were nominated to serve as members of the Executive Committee for 2012: Carl Hehmsoth, President; Arten Avakian, Vice President; Tom Whatley, Secretary/Treasurer; and Vonda Bloomquist, Lois Mayes, Sarah Pai, Griff Smith, and Anne Souby, At-Large. Vonda Bloomquist, seconded by Griff Smith, moved to elect the members nominated to serve as officers and at-large members of the Executive Committee. The motion was adopted without objection.

The association members and guest Joyce Basciano with the Austin Neighborhoods Council discussed current issues and priorities for the upcoming year, including vertical mixed use, vacation rentals by owner and short-term rentals, parking permits/parking enforcement, the status of the MoPac managed lanes project and noise walls, the status of the State Cemetery Annex property, the city's comprehensive plan, a neighborhood association Facebook page, and other issues.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:43 p.m.
