The Political Asylum Project of Austin (PAPA) is seeking a legal assistant to assist with Legal Orientation Presentations (LOP) at immigrant detention centers in Pearsall Texas.  The LOP legal assistant will also spend a portion of their time with data entry and development of educational materials and will assist with efforts to recruit pro bono representation.

This position will office in San Antonio and will be required to travel frequently between San Antonio and Pearsall. Applicants must have prior experience in immigration law or, hold a Bachelors Degree from an accredited university, speak and write fluent English and Spanish and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience with group presentations is also highly desirable.
