Political Asylum Project of Austin (PAPA) is seeking a staff attorney to conduct legal orientation presentations (LOP) at the immigrant detention center in Pearsall Texas.  The LOP attorney will also spend a portion of their time providing high quality legal representation and pro se assistance to detained immigrants and will assist with efforts to recruit pro bono representation.

 This position will office in San Antonio and will be required to travel frequently between San Antonio and Pearsall. Applicants must have prior experience in immigration law, hold a JD from an accredited university, speak fluent English and Spanish and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Position also requires bar admission or current application in one of the 50 states. Previous experience with group presentations is also highly desirable.
