    Chapter # 10 Central Texas/Austin

Submitted by: Lin ONOFRIO Brinkman (#1388)

The 28 July meeting of Chapter #10 of POINT, Round Rock, TX was called to order by Lin ONOFRIO Brinkman (#1388) with 13 present.
Lin said that she and Bill had made contact with Nicola DiMEO, an old friend in Lin's Father's town of Faicchio, Italy. After talking with Nicola, they've decided that 2011 is the time to return to Italy!
It was agreed that Lin will make reservations at Con' Olio in Austin for the 25 August meeting, with tastings of olive oil and balsamic vinegars and jams.

Jeanie MARSALIA (#4251) shared news from former members, Ernie and Gloria Silva. Gloria has made contact with her relatives in Gubbia, and is hoping to make contact with her GAMBACCINI side.

Betty TOMMASELLI Glaser, Lin's cousin, found some new names on her and Lin's ONOFRIO side in a submission by Domenico CARLO from Sopra, Bergamo, Italy.

    • Geronimo RUBANI was born in 1813 in San Lorenzello, Italy. His father, Guiseppe RUBANI, married Maria Guiseppa SAGNELLA, in 1805. She was born in 1775.
    • Maria's father was Nicola Salvatore SAGNELLA, born in 1750, died in 1812. He married Maria Carmela Di CERBO. Her parents were Nicola Di CERBO and Catarina SAGNELLA.
    • Nicola's father was Francesco SAGNELLA and his mother was Guiditta MATTEI.

Joe MASTRANGELO (#2614) recently received some information he had requested on 5 February 2005! Joe says to be patient! He asked for information on his fifth Grandparents, Angelo MASTRANGELO and Donata Antonia CONTEGIACOMO, married in 1764. Their five children were Anastasia, 1765, Francesco Antonio, 1767, Francesco Paolo, 1769, Francesco Paolo, 1770, and Maria Domenica, 1772. Joe has found a multiplicity of occurrences of these names, but is unable to provide a direct link into his existing Family Tree data. He continues to generate lines that appear to be directly parallel, yet back further in time.
Joe has completed extracting Morti records from 1809-1900, and is currently viewing a variety of Attidivirsi records for this period.

Next meeting : 7:00 p.m., 28 July at Con' Olio Oils & Vinegars, 10000 Research Blvd, Austin.
