Chapter # 10 Central Texas/Austin
Submitted by: Sherry PACELLI Haddox (4883)
Due to hail, rainstorms and tornado warnings, most of our members were sensible and stayed at home.
Lin ONOFRIO Brinkman (#2388), her husband Bill, and cousin Betty (TOMMASELLI) Glaser attended a shortened meeting.
After sending letters to every TOMMASELLI in the Pennsylvania white pages, Betty's research yielded the finding of her father's second family. She had a half-sister, now deceased, and five half-brothers with whom she is making contact. Her father was Joseph TOMMASELLI, born in New Haven, CT.
Lin will be conducting a fund-raiser for the Italian Cultural Association of Austin on April 18th. She will be teaching an Italian cooking class and will be making Panzanella (Bread Salad), Polenta Toasts with Roasted Peppers, Almonds Italiana, Chicken Saltimbocca, Green Beans with Tomatoes, Ricotta Ice Cream and Cherry Biscotti.
Our next meeting will be Wednesday, April 22nd at 6:30pm at Merrill Gardens, 8005 Cornerwood, Round Rock, Texas
